TRANSPORT


Transport for the Congress participants is provided by the organiser. Buses will run between designated hotels and the congress centre. Additionally, the organiser provides transport for technical visits, cocktail and gala dinner. The list of hotels along with a map and bus timetable will be sent to registered participants before the start of the Congress. They will be also available at the congress centre and in welcome packs.

Public transport
We are pleased to inform you that from 19 to 23 February, participants of the Congress can use public transport (buses, trams, SKM fast urban trains, Pomeranian Metropolitan Railway PKM) free of charge, in the area of Gdańsk (including access from and to the airport), Sopot and Gdynia.
A personal voucher generated from the Congress participants registration system – paper version (colour / black and white), electronic, and/or a Congress Participant ID – mandatory to produce for control together with a photo ID document (passport, ID card), will entitle you to use free public transport.
Congress participants intending to use free public transport are therefore asked to secure the indicated documents.
In addition, we would like to inform you about the possibility of obtaining a voucher copy, only at the Gdańsk airport – International Winter Road Congress welcome desk.

MEDIA ACCREDITATION


Receipt of the accreditation, badges and conference materials will take place at the AMBEREXPO Exhibition and Convention Centre, Hall A – entries A1 and A2.
 

WI-FI


Wi-Fi internet access shall be available throughout the facility.
 

POSTER SESSION


The poster session is located at the far end of Hall A.
 

LUNCH BREAKS


During lunch breaks, you will be able to purchase lunch in 3 special lunch zones in halls A and B.
One lunch costs EUR 10 / 42 PLN ­– Payment in cash or using one of the following cards: VISA, VISA ELEKTRON, MasterCard, MasterCard Electronic, Maestro, PolCard

CAR PARK


A free of charge car park for over 2000 vehicles is located in front of AMBEREXPO.
 

TOURIST CARD SPECIAL OFFER


Each participant will receive a 20% discount for a Tourist Card that provides discounted or free entrance to almost 60 museums, restaurants and other institutions in Gdańsk.

ENTERING POLAND


Poland is a part of the Schengen Area, comprised of 28 states with no control on the internal borders. Citizens of third states may cross the external borders of Poland, provided they have a valid travel document and, if needed, a relevant visa. Listings of third states, Citizens of which must have a visa when crossing the external borders (including Russia, China, Belarus) and states, Citizens of which shall be exempt from this requirement, may be found at www.msz.gov.pl.
An applicant should, prior to submitting the application, contact the relevant consular office, in order to receive the application, as well as information on the procedure (including the electronic application registration) and on the visa fee. The deadline for processing the application shall be 15 calendar days from the moment of submitting all the required documents.
Certain states do not host a Polish diplomatic mission. In such a case, the applicant shall be obliged to submit the application in a relevant Polish consular post in another state.
 

Participants who plan to travel to Gdańsk via Warsaw can reach the congress by plane, train, bus or car. Selecting the first possibility, the participants enjoy a comfortable motorway (A1 and A2 toll motorways), directly linking the capital with the coast. You can also select an alternate route S7 expressway (no toll).


 

BY PLANE


The city of Gdańsk has its own airport with direct connections to more than 50 cities all over the Europe.

The passengers may get to the Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport by SKM (Szybka Kolej Miejska) trains.
The trains go from Gdansk-Wrzeszcz – Airport – Gdynia Główna every 30 minutes.
Available SKM tickets: Tickets with distance-related price (incl. train change in Gdansk-Wrzeszcz to get to Gdansk Śródmieście or Sopot) and city zone tickets, PLN 3.50 (adult ticket), allowing for travelling to any station within Gdansk. The tickets are available in the ticket machine located in the east side of T2 Terminal.

The Polish Railways provides trips between Warsaw and Gdańsk almost every hour. Trip by convenient and fast speed train takes less than 3 hours.
